What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Program Manager position at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville?
Supervises and evaluates professional and support staff within assigned departmental cost centers. Evaluates and treats patients referred for therapy with approval of the referring physicians. Assists Director in budget planning, productivity maintenance, payroll responsibilities, policy development, survey preparation, etc., when assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
- PT: Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the Council of Medical Education and hospital of the American Medical Association; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred. Current state licensure required and renewed biannually. Current BCLS certification required.
- OT: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association required. NBCOT certification is required. Current BCLS certification required. Minimum of three years outpatient and/or acute care experience is required.
- SLP: Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders with specialization in Speech Language Pathology. Recipient of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and license from the Kentucky Board Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology for the practice of speech pathology and Kentucky school certification for speech pathology. Current BCLS certification required.
EXPERIENCE: For Rehab Program Manager, minimum of three years’ experience in acute care is required. If for OT/Speech cost centers, will require outpatient experience as well. Experience with AMPAC 6 clicks, Modified Rankin scoring, and Stroke rehab highly desirable. Previous involvement in educational programs, program development, EMR, LTACH/ARU regulation knowledge preferred.
