What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Procedures Tech position at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville?
Special Procedure Technologists will work closely with other Cath Lab professionals and Manager. Assist procedure physicians with various procedures that require sound judgment while in the scrub. Performs in the “scrub, monitor, and float” roles. Perform various procedure related task assigned within license scope and job description. Practices safe Radiologic Safety standards. Cross train as needed to cover Non-invasive Stress lab or other areas deemed necessary.

- Associates or vocational degree from an accredited radiology program required
- Successful completion of registration examination prescribed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required
- KY state license by Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) is required
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months from date of employment
- EKG recognition class required prior to completion of orientation
- One-year experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred
- One-year training/experience in Special Procedures preferred
- Good communication skills required
