Job Description:
Central Monitor Tech-3-South-Full-Time
- The telemetry Central Monitoring technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias to nurse responsible.
- Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.
- Monitor and record physiological measurements including obtaining six second strip as indicated by patient condition.
- Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.
- Care and maintenance of cardiac equipment.
- Documents and interprets patient’s heart rhythm and rate by utilizing telemetry recordings.
- Receive and coordinate telephone calls from healthcare providers.
- Communicate information clearly to nurses and physicians
I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Life Threatening Arrhythmias training
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Certification Annually
