Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist - Case Management
Full-time, First shift
Job Description:
The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of physician documentation utilizing their clinical expertise to ensure the patients’ severity of illness is accurately portrayed in the medical record for specificity and accuracy of diagnosis and procedure coding. The CDI Specialist provides guidance to the providers, nursing, and ancillary staff on clinical documentation best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in nursing required (BSN); In lieu of bachelor’s degree, associate degree in Nursing with five years acute healthcare nursing experience may be accepted.
RN license issued by the state of KY required.
Three years of experience of acute care nursing experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist and/or Certified Documentation Integrity Specialist preferred.
Prior experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity and/or Coding
