Job Title: Engineering Manager

Full Time First Shift

Job Summary:

Reports directly to the Director of Engineering and functions at a higher level administratively than the Engineering Supervisor within a broad area of departmental knowledge. Manages the day-by-day operations of the department and will need to have access to various areas of reporting tools within the BHS system to accomplish their goals and keep the Department and Hospital Leaders updated on the overall Engineering operations.

Job Description:

• Overall coordination of the hospital grounds, engineering and maintenance on a day-to-day basis.
• Provides daily supervision to department staff, contractors, suppliers and all vendors as needed.
• Develops and participates in a continuing departmental training and orientation program in the repair and maintenance of all equipment. Alerts personnel regarding safety and hazards to insure safe procedure and equipment.
• Supervises departmental policies and procedures, standards of work performance for the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, buildings and building systems including boilers and other equipment that provide heat, cooling, steam, hot water, electricity, sanitation and facility gases.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 5 years in Health Care.
• Must have at least 1 year of Supervisory Experience.
• Must be able to complete the CHFM courses within the scope of the program requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
