Job Description:
- Independently performs, interprets, validates and correlates tests as ordered by physicians by following the approved departmental procedures and in accordance with all regulatory agencies.
- Determines that the test results meet the requirements of the quality control program and if not met, repeats test and ensures the results are approved for reporting.
- Expected to utilize complex problem-solving skills in resolving clinical and instrument problems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or a related science field is required.
- Certified or eligible for certification in clinical laboratory science by recognized certifying agencies. Certification must be achieved within one year of hire.
- Membership in a professional organization preferred.
