Job Description:
The Philanthropy Officer (PO) will meet goals and contribute to the overall growth of philanthropy and will secure funds by fulfilling the interests and passions of Baptist Health Hardin donors. They will provide donors with giving opportunities, encourage them to give and close gifts. The PO will work directly with the Chief Development Officer on a major gift program focused on individual major giving to the Foundation; will build strong relationships with major giving donors and prospects and actively develop a major giving pipeline of larger gifts; will steward an active portfolio of individual major gift prospects and donors and assist with special development projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Area of focus in field related to non-profit work, healthcare or fundraising preferred.
- Five (5) years direct fundraising and/or sales experience preferred with a proven track record of success.
- Experience in major gift solicitation, with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies along with experience management of development programs preferred.
- Experience in customer service or relationship management preferred.
- Profiecient in database management, including Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce or similar donor management software preferred.
