Job Description:
Phlebotomist - Afternoons/ 24 hours weekly
Part Time – 1130am-8pm – Rotating Weekends & Call
Job Description:
Performs the collection of blood and body specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients. Transports patient specimens to the laboratory.
Job Duties:
- Performs venipuncture and capillary collections
- Collects appropriate specimen for each test
- Follows all patient safety and specimen collection protocols without variance
- Promotes good public relations for department and Baptist Health Paducah
- Follows infection control protocols
- Consistently follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Completion of High School/GED
- Must obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Requirements:
- Completion of Phlebotomy training program or ASCP Certification
