RN Labor Delivery
Shift: Full Time, Nights
Where You'll Be:
The Labor and Delivery unit is made up of 14 Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms, three operating rooms, and a four bed OB Emergency Department. The unit delivers approximately 3,000 babies each year. Nurses work with a variety of patients from natural childbirth to high-risk preterm multiple gestation pregnancies. Nursing staff roles include the l abor nurses who support labor and delivery, and delivery te am nurses caring for newborns during the immediate newborn period. The unit has 24/7 i n - house a nesthesia, n eonatology, and OB h ospitalist support.
What You'll Do:
Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes and the delivery of quality patient care. The registered nurse collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse serves as a role model through actively participating in the process of continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
What You'll Need:
Active Kentucky RN License (Required)
BCLS and ACLS (Required)
NRP (Required)
2 years previous experience in L&D/OB/Mother-Baby (Strongly preferred)
