Job Description:
Security Coordinator-Full-Time
- Position will function as a working coordinator, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the security department on evening shifts.
- Coordinator will be required to perform the duties of a security officer to ensure the protection and safety of all hospital patients, visitors, staff or other persons on or within the hospital properties.
- Will be responsible for assisting in the facilities Security Management program to ensure compliance with ACHC, and NFPA 99 chapter 13, security management codes
- Makes appropriate decisions in the absence of the Director.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Some security education or experience preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a Taser course within 7 months and maintain certification
- Must obtain Basic & Advanced International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification within 6 months
- CPI & CPR Certification required-(Hospital will provide training)
