Surgery Orderly
Full time/ Mid-Shift/ 11am-7:30 pm
Job Description
The surgery orderly/nursing assistant serves as the primary patient transport person.
Job Duties
- Assist with patient care and function as a messenger when needed.
- Transfer, transport, move, lift, and position patients.
- May scrub for cases if indicated.
- Assists in maintaining a clean safe environment, which includes stocking designated supplies and assists with cleaning between surgical procedures.
- Trained yearly on age specific care and completes core competencies for patient populations designated in the Scope of Service.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Heavy Lifting and moving is required.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous healthcare experience is helpful.
