Summary
Accountable for coordinating, developing, executing, monitoring and evaluation of Social Service activities. Social Work activities encompass : accurately assessing patient / family psychosocial / socioeconomic needs and coordinating the appropriate community resource to ensure timely care, compliance with regulatory requirements / standards and effective / efficient use of hospital resources. Works in collaborative practice with the physician and other members of the health care team to meet patient-specific and age-related patient needs, linking cost resource management and quality to patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education
Minimum Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Social Work,
Experience
Minimum Experience : Ability to work autonomously and make independent judgments.
Preferred Experience : 2 years acute care experience
Certifications
Required : Possession of current Texas State License - LMSW
Preferred : ACM
Required Courses / completions : BLS-obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center
