Full time 36 weekly hours, night shift
About the Unit:
The House Float Pool consists of seasoned, experienced nurses who can work on any inpatient unit that is in need of additional staffing. The House Float department is also home to the house management staff who allocate staffing resources, provide guidance when issues present and supervise the float staff. Nurses need a minimum of two years recent acute care nursing experience in the hospital setting and be comfortable floating to multiple areas.
Job Duties:
The House Float Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions for the patient. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. House Float nurses must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to move from situation-to-situation quickly.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Active Kentucky RN License
BCLS Required
ACLS Required within 6 months.
A minimum of two years acute care hospital experience required.
