Job Description : Status : PRNShift : 1stJob SummaryRegistered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) assigned to his / her care and is responsible for the patient's care within the parameters of the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes, quality of care and initiates change through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared-governance councils.National Professional Nursing Standards serve as guidelines for the registered nurse as he / she utilizes critical thinking skills and exercises appropriate nursing judgment. The registered nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. Also, the registered nurse will serve as a role model by actively participating in the process of continuous professional development, teaching and learning across the healthcare continuum.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following summarizes the major functions of the House Float RN's position. He / she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.The House Float RN is responsible for the assessment, care plan development, evaluation of patient response to interventions, and providing safe and efficient Nursing care utilizing organization skills, along with leadership and critical thinking to multiple patient populations.1. - Active Kentucky RN License
- BCLS required
- ACLS required within 6 months
