- Education / Certification reimbursementMinimum Requirements : Upon hire these disciplines will be assessed for clinical competency and be required to successfully complete an MA orientation | externship as well as complete any additional training as required by the Provider.
- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency plus :
- Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating within databases containing highly confidential information, plus.
- Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate to be received within 90 days, plus one of the following
- Prior working experience in a medical office / clinic performing clinical MA duties
- Or a Certified MA from the National Health Career Association (NHA).
- Or completed any MA education program, but has not received certification as of yet.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to administer medication and injections, as directed by Physician / Provider
- Able to perform phlebotomy on patients, as directed by the Physician / Provider
- Able to perform in-office lab testing such as glucose testing, strep screens, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and HgA1c as directed by the physician / provider.
- Able to perform sterilization on instruments used for minor procedures / surgeries according to the CDC recommended guidelines.
