Job description

Definition: The Independent Living Resident Assistant would be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. Must be respectful and compassionate with strong ethics. Must be willing to follow the Mission and Vision of Baptist Homes and Healthcare Ministries (see thebaptisthome.org). Be a self-starter. Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to client’s request. Must understand infection control principles.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a retired individual or someone just looking for a few hours a week (usually 24 hours/week)

• Information: Personnel file is current and updated as needed; including but not limited to, credentialing certificates and licensure, formal academic and continuing education attainment, current phone number, email and physical address, and Covid-19 vaccine documentation.

• Workplace Safety Practice safety: including but not limited to, proper hand washing; obeying OSHA, CMS, state, and BHHM safety regulations, policies and procedures and maintaining uncluttered, clean, and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

• Basic skills in cooking, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Ability to exercise good judgement.
• High ethical standards.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

· Meal Prep

· Laundry

· Light Housekeeping

· Medication Reminders

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Shift availability:

• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)
• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
