Summary / Objective
The Contract Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring all payments received on accounts are made according to contracted rates. This non-clinical position must have skills and experience in setting up and maintaining contracted rates in a contract management system. The Contract Management Specialist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Essential Job Duties

- Ensures all new contracts and / or changes are entered into the contract management system accurately and timely.
- Monitors the discounts calculated for accuracy.
- Reviews discrepancy reports to identify any payment, adjustment, charging or billing errors.
- Reconciles Daily Activity in the contract management system. Ensures new payers are mapped to the correct contract. All bills are loaded correctly and errors corrected in a timely manner.
- Assists in the completion of contractual reserve process on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of contractual reserve management system.
- Completes hospital credentialing applications to ensure hospital maintains good standing with all payers.
Required Education and Experience
High School degree or equivalent.
5 years experience
