Summary/Objective
The CT Technologist is responsible for the provision of computerized tomographic studies to patients according to physicians orders and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in patient safety and high quality testing. The CT Technologist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
Essential Job Duties

- Proficiently preform CT exams by using CT equipment and ancillary equipment such as injectors safely and proficiently
- Maintain current knowledge in the field, attend workshops and seminars to maintain competency and licensure requirements.
- Possess basic knowledge of sterile techniques as it relates to provision of CT assisted biopsies and other interventions.
- Utilize contrast media safely according to policy and protocol and reconcile patient medications.
- Apply radiation safety concepts to CT imaging and software to reduce patient exposures.
Complete all PACS/RIS data entry, document history, contrast administration and patient exposures as required.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Required License/Certifications
Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 90 days
Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days
