Summary / Objective
Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Police Officer is responsible for providing security for patients, employee and visitors. The Police Officer also protects the Hospitals' buildings and premises as assigned.
Essential Job Duties

- Responds to inquiries for advice or assistance from Hospital personnel, students, visitors; assists in intervening of infractions of the law.
- Participates in investigation; maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to violations of the law.
- Maintains services in accordance with the standards established with the Hospital, Federal, State and local standards.
- Responds to scene and provides necessary controls involving disaster, fires, alarms, codes, or emergency incidents and their associated drills.
- Consistently provides outstanding service to all patients, physicians, fellow employees, and guests as appropriate to position.
- Ensures that the problems or concerns regarding security related assignments are communicated with the Security Manager.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of six (6) months prior experience in law enforcement.
Required License / Certifications
Must be a Licensed Peace Officer in the State of Texas; License must be current.
