Summary
Provides clinical support by performing remote cardiac monitoring and while under the supervision of licensed personnel, coordinates non-clinical tasks including: maintaining the patient's chart, utilization of communication devices, ensuring accurate bed charging, performing patient call backs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Performs clerical responsibilities
- Maintains the patient chart
- Performs remote cardiac monitoring in a manner that ensures accurate and complete examination by complying with established procedures and policies.
- Recognizes and reports abnormal patient data to appropriate licensed personnel accurately and promptly according to unit procedure.
- Demonstrates collaboration and communication skills.
- Facilitates patient/bed flow by utilizing admission, transfer, teletracking and discharge activities according to procedure.
- Participates in ongoing educational activities.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Experience
Preferred: Previous experience as remote monitoring technician or with interpreting cardiac rhythms preferred.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Minimum: BLS certification within 14 days of hire date
Special Skills
Minimum: Team player with great communication skills
