Summary

Under the administrative direction of the Academic Dean and/or general direction of the Program Chair. Position may require hours beyond the 8-hour workday
Responsibilities
Education
Desired: Master's Degree in the teaching or professional discipline or in a related discipline plus thirty (30) semester hours beyond the Master's in the teaching discipline or an academically appropriate discipline with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline, plus work or teaching experience equivalent to four (4) years of college teaching in the discipline; orMaster's Degree in a related or academically appropriate discipline and the terminal degree/certificate in the professional discipline plus work or teaching experience equivalent to four (4) years of college teaching in the discipline; orEarned doctorate from an accredited institution in the teaching or professional discipline or in a related or academically appropriate area with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline plus work or teaching experience equivalent to four (4) years of college teaching in the discipline

Desired: Minimum of three (3) years at the academic rank of Instructor or equivalent. Good character, mature attitude and stable personality; Evidence of excellence in teaching and in scholarly or creative works; Participation in professional and community organizations; Good character, mature attitude and stable personality; Evidence of excellence in teaching and in scholarly or creative works; Participation in professional and community organizations; Sustained growth in academic maturity; Evidence of growing faculty leadership roles.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

- Advises and tutors students and evaluates academic progression of students in meeting requirements for the program of study and in accomplishing program outcomes.
