Job Summary
This position provides leadership and support in Human Resources to align with the corporate mission. Responsibilities include interpreting policies, offering information, counseling, and support to leaders, managers, and employees in various areas such as employee relations, benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, workers' compensation, employee health, and other related Human Resource functions.
The role involves reviewing proposed disciplinary actions from managers and making recommendations based on current policy, including the investigation, documentation, and consideration of alternative actions. Additionally, the position assists the Employee Health Nurse with data management and special projects.
Collaboration with external stakeholders, such as applicants, state and federal agency officials, and labor counsel, is also essential. This includes identifying needs, collecting and evaluating information, responding promptly to inquiries, and ensuring cases are followed through to closure.
The position further requires recommending new or revised procedures and monitoring compliance with policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements, including those from the Joint Commission and the EEOC. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. 2 additional years of HR experience can be substituted for the college degree.
Preferred/Desired
Master’s degree in human resource management in Business Administration or a related field.

Previous experience using an automated HR/Payroll system. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the recruitment needs for the assigned areas, to include internal transfers and external hires
- Perform tasks associated with employee relations, such as investigations, coaching, counseling, and terminations, to include problem solving.
- Administers benefit plans.
- Assist the HR Director with the performance management process by responding to issues pertaining to pay and compensation.
- Completes assigned goals.
