Summary
The Associate Director of Student Affairs provides overall strategic leadership, program development, and day-to-day management to support and guide Osteopathic Medical Students as they advance during their pre-doctoral medical careers at BUCOM, which includes the enhancement of their quality of life. Position assists in the coordination and management of student services to help meet the emotional, spiritual, social, physical, financial, and academic needs of students. The position is responsible for shifts equal to 40 hours per week. Incumbents are subject to hours beyond the normal workday.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of Student Affairs including the planning, budgeting, coordination and evaluation of activities, support services and programs to support campus life, student engagement, student wellness, student development and leadership.
- Work to ensure that students receive professional mentorship, personal and professional counseling, career development and other student services and that they remain compliant with the policies and procedures of the COM.
- Coordinate, manage and lead the academic event and ceremony planning for BUCOM.
- Provide oversight for, collaborate with and coordinate student organizations' activities, included, but not limited to, social, community service, outreach events, educational presentations, symposiums, and conferences.
- Performs related accountabilities / responsibilities as required or directed.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Desired : Master's Degree in college student personnel services, marketing, leadership, or related field.
Minimum : Experience
Desired : Three (3) or more years of experience in student life, admissions, administrative / student services, campus activities and / or leadership programs.
