The NM Path General department is a dynamic team that provides exceptional care to patients. We are seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory professional to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all specimen collection and preservation requirements, media requirements, and storage protocols.
- Demonstrate proficiency in receiving specimens in the lab and follow accreditation standards, regulatory agency requirements, and institutional policies.
- Achieve accurate and complete patient identification using a minimum of three unique patient identifiers.
- Proficiently record and retrieve laboratory data.
- Timely distribute samples.
- Maintain proficiency in specimen tracking.
- Familiarity with reference lab specimen requirements, receiving, and processing.
- Loading and unloading of blood culture bottles and performing CLIA waived tests.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering phones and responding to customer inquiries.
- Clean and maintain laboratory supplies and work area.
- Assist with training and educating new employees and students.
