Job Summary
Maintains patient and non-patient care areas within the hospital, ensuring a safe and attractive environment. Actively participates in department quality/performance improvement activities and adheres to appropriate policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans and disinfects areas by completing a 7-step cleaning process.
- Practices infection control guidelines, adhering to universal precautions and safety protocols for work assignments.
- Maintains equipment, storage rooms, and environmental closets in an orderly fashion.
- Performs all floor maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
- Fulfills Service First principles.
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences, and Experience:
Education:
A minimum of knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
PREFERRED: 1 year of housekeeping experience.
