Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Summary:
A highly skilled Sonographer performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure patient safety.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure consistent patient care.
Requirements, Preferences, and Experience:
Education:
Minimum: Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS and/or Registered Vascular Technologist RVT or new graduate waiting to take registry.
Experience:
Preferred: Recent experience as a Sonographer.
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Minimum: NEW GRADUATE WHO WILL OBTAIN REQUIRED REGISTRY WITHIN 120 DAYS OF HIRE; BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE; RVT; ARDMS
Special Skills:
Minimum: Basic computer literacy skills.
