As the Director of Nursing, you’ll lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to residents in a 42-bed skilled nursing facility and a 42-bed personal care department. What You’ll Do : Direction
- Meets with other department heads to coordinate services and to assure the efficient integration of Care
- Plans and Rasps
- Meets regularly with supervisory level nursing personnel to advise and discuss areas of concern; periodically
- meets with all levels of Nursing Department personnel.
- Supervises a program for the inventorying, ordering, and distribution of Nursing Department supplies, with
- timely management of all claims.
- Maintains consistent presence on Nursing Center units for purposes of directing, supporting, and
- monitoring resident clinical needs and regulatory compliance for SNF, PC and MS
Planning
Prepares and submits an annual budget for the Nursing Department and adjusts budget as necessary afterconsultation with the Healthcare Administrator.Organization
Through consultation with ADON, Quality Improvement, Staff Development, and Nursing Departmentsupervisors, works to improve efficiency of delivery of care.Participates in the Quality Improvement Committee, the Pharmaceutical Services Committee, the InfectionControl Committee, and other ad-hoc committees as determined by the administratorStaffing
Supervises and participates in the evaluation program for all nursing personnel in SNF, PC and MS.Establishes and implements a scheduling system to assume adequate and appropriate coverage of allnursing units, including a contingency plan for replacements for call-offs (within budgetary guidelines).Supervises the orderly maintenance of required personnel records for Nursing Department personnel,including a system to assure that the licenses of all professional Nursing Department personnel are current.Supervises the in-service education program for Nursing Department staff and cooperates with otherdepartment heads as appropriate for other in-service programs.Coordinates with ADON, Quality Improvement, and IP for appropriate initiatives in staff development andTrainingProfessional Development

Maintains professional presence when representing Baptist Senior Family. Responsible for regulatory compliance and POC for DOH and DHS.Responsible to provide clinical direction and oversight of Healthcare, PC / MC.Responsible for resident transition to appropriate level of care within Healthcare as a Transition Teammember.Qualifications You Bring :
Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.N.) from four-year college or university; minimum RN licensure; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer knowledge.Knowledge of geriatrics and long-term care servicesPreferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher with 2 years of Director of Nursing experience
