What You’ll Do:
- Resident Activities & Engagement: Leads meaningful activities that enhance residents' quality of life, taking their cognitive abilities and life history into account.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintains required records per state and federal regulations, including resident assessments, care plans, and participation logs.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Functions as a key team member, supervises volunteers, organizes activity calendars, and participates in staff committees.
- Training & Program Development: Supports nursing aides in person-centered activities, develops innovative programming, and stays updated on memory care advancements.
- Professionalism & Confidentiality: Upholds privacy policies, maintains strong working relationships, follows company guidelines, and meets performance standards.
- Budget & Campus Management: Oversees financial aspects, manages volunteer scheduling, organizes campus tours, and ensures seamless execution of activities.
Qualifications You Bring:
- Required: Associate degree in Recreation Therapy from a college or university; and or 5 year’s equivalent experience in a Long-Term Care field
- Preferred: Must have some knowledge, experience or expertise in recreational activities, music or crafts appropriate for an older population. Knowledge of the aging process and experience with older adults. Experience with working with Alzheimer’s or Dementia related population.
- Direct Staff Care Certificate
Work Schedule: Full-Time: 9:00 AM- 5:30 PM 1 weekend a month
