As the Host/Hostess, you are the first and last impression of Bar Boheme. You manage reservations, coordinate seating with precision, and maintain the flow of the dining room, all while exuding poise and a guest-first mentality. Key Responsibilities
- Guest-Focused Hospitality
- Greet every guest with warmth, authenticity, and professionalism.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a gracious and seamless arrival experience.
- Engage in friendly, knowledgeable conversation, making guests feel truly welcome.
- Anticipate guest needs, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Offer a fond and appreciative farewell, ensuring guests leave with a lasting positive impression.
- Reservation & Seating Management
- Manage reservations with precision using [reservation system, OpenTable].
- Organize and coordinate seating to ensure optimal flow and guest experience.
- Maintain waitlists and communicate accurate wait times with gracious transparency.
- Collaborate with the management and service team to accommodate VIPs, regulars, and special occasions.
- Attention to Detail & Teamwork
- Maintain a pristine and welcoming entrance, host stand, and reception area.
- Monitor the dining room to ensure service runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Communicate with the kitchen and service teams regarding table statuses and special requests.
- Assist in coat check, menu presentation, and overall guest service duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a fine dining or high-end restaurant.
- A warm, professional, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to gracefully handle high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with OpenTable reservation systems and Toast systems is preferred.
- A polished and professional appearance, aligned with fine dining standards.
