What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Bruno Bartender position at Bar Bruno?
BB TEAM MEMBERS are responsible for:
- Having a commanding knowledge of our wine, beverage, and food menus
- Maintaining high cleanliness and food safety standards
- A strong understanding of our wines, classic cocktails, boutique spirits, and other
beverages
- Excellent technique and consistency with cocktail making, wine service, and food plate-
ups
- Acting as part of our entire small team. Tasks are largely shared and the service is such
that it requires team members to effectively communicate with one another to achieve
success
- Learning our protocols and systems to ensure smooth service for our team and our
guests
- Ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding our high standards
- Providing our guests empathetic hospitality.
- Treating other team members with empathy and grace
- Setting up/Breaking down bar.
- Cutting, chopping, slicing, mixing, assembling plates of food (small food menu, low
intensity)
- Maintaining positive and professional attitude. Exhibiting optimistic warmth and
empathetic hospitality towards our guests and teammates.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours. Bend, push, pull, reach up, lift 30lbs.
Requirements:
- 2 years bartending/fine/casual fine dining restaurant experience preferred but not
required
- 2 years professional wine related experience (bottle shop, restaurant, distributor
representation, etc.) preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication with managers, team members, and kitchen crew
- POS experience preferred
- Strong willingness to be a part of a team and work in a team environment
Compensation Details
- Hourly pay – starts at $10/hr plus tips (BB operates in a tip pool, equally weighted by
hours worked per shift over total hours in pool).
- Estimated average hourly rate ranges from $16-40 generally.
