Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the food and beverage service area. This role includes supervising staff, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring health and safety regulations compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Supervision: Oversee daily operations in the food and beverage department, providing guidance and support to staff. Conduct training and performance evaluations to maintain high service standards.
• Cash Handling: Manage cash registers and ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed. Prepare daily cash reports, handle cash discrepancies, and ensure security of cash and valuables.
• Opening and Closing Procedures: Prepare and oversee daily opening and closing reports. Ensure that all supplies and equipment are stocked and in good working condition. Document any issues and follow up with appropriate resolutions.
• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service by interacting positively with guests, addressing concerns, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
• Staff Scheduling: Assist in creating staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs effectively.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of food and beverages, making recommendations for purchasing and ensuring compliance with storage and safety regulations.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication across all departments.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in cash handling and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
