Position overview
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager has the primary responsibility for maintaining the physical facilities of the company. This person will be the primary contact of the bars concerning kitchen/bar equipment, HVAC, water heaters, plumbing, carpentry, etc. The Facilities & Maintenance Manager will develop and maintain working relationships with vendors that enable the maintenance projects to be completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. A critical partner for the Company, frequent interaction with senior leadership and other stakeholders will require a collaborative approach to problem solving with an emphasis on relationship building. This role may evolve and oversee or lead other functions as the needs of the business dictate.
The ideal candidate will reside in the Eastern Time Zone, within a 30-mile radius of a major airport such as Orlando, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Baltimore or Philadelphia, though other locations may be considered. Additionally, the candidate must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Position responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the physical facilities of the company.
- Maintain constant tracking of current projects outstanding as well as capex costs to budget.
- Obtain necessary approvals for projects through thoughtful and concise communication.
- Develop vendor pool for bar maintenance work that is reliable and cost effective.
- Communicate with Team Members, management, vendors, and other stakeholders within the organization.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Facilities and Construction to evolve the strategy of the maintenance program of the Company.
- Respect and always maintain confidentiality across the company outside the organization.
- Accept additional assignments requested when needs arise.

Education and training
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or Operations preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role/function
- Up to date knowledge of construction and maintenance practices within the restaurant industry
Basic physical requirements
As this is primarily a corporate position, while performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, talk via Cloud Based video conferencing and the phone, hear and manipulate objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. When working at a gastrobar location, must be able to perform the duties of that location as needed for the purpose of training and support. These requirements may include Lifting up to 10 (ten) pounds constantly and up to 50 (fifty) pounds as required. Lifting from floor to shoulder constantly and overhead infrequently. Twists and reach frequently. Grasp objects to move or manipulate constantly. Work in a hot environment for an extended period. May inadvertently bump into team members in a relatively small work area. Stand and walk for an extended period. FREQUENT hand washing required. Ability to use knives, slicing equipment, and other food preparation equipment.
