Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, striving to enhance their dining experience.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, to manage reservations and track guest preferences when applicable.
Skills
- Strong background in hospitality or food service is preferred.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficient in phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential for success in this role.
