Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The Machinist will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Duties
- Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine machining operations.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Program CAM software for automated machining processes as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production.
- Fabricate components using plastics injection molding techniques when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.
Skills
- Proficient in operating CNC machinery and understanding machining processes.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpreting technical specifications.
- Experience with SolidWorks for design modifications and part creation is preferred.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
- Knowledge of CAM programming for efficient machine operation is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
