Machinist Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Machinist will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.

Duties

• Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine machining operations.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
• Program CAM software for automated machining processes as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise during production.
• Fabricate components using plastics injection molding techniques when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality.

Skills

• Proficient in operating CNC machinery and understanding machining processes.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpreting technical specifications.
• Experience with SolidWorks for design modifications and part creation is preferred.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
• Knowledge of CAM programming for efficient machine operation is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.99 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
