What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Leader position at Bar Vegan?
- The Role:Reporting into the General Manager, Shift Leaders are responsible for a variety of Bar Vegan’s restaurant operational tasks. As the first and sometimes the last point of contact for customers, Shift Leaders are responsible for overseeing the operations of both the Back-of-House (BOH) and Front-of-House (FOH) during their assigned shift. This role ensures the smooth functioning of the restaurant, maintains high standards of customer service, and supports the management team in achieving operational goals. Through training, embodying teaching policy & procedures, and maintaining brand standards.
- Responsibilities & Requirements: * 2 years’ experience as a Shift Leader or similar role in customer facing restaurant environment should be friendly, helpful, and able to go above and beyond to make sure customers have a positive experience. * Assist General Manager in coordinating the activities of FOH staff to ensure efficient and effective operations. * Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served in accordance with quality standards and customer preferences. * Ensure adherence to all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety regulations. * Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant. * Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels. * Maintain accurate records of restaurant transactions, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback. * Resolve customer complaints and ensure that all guest issues are handled in a timely and professional manner. * Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve restaurant performance and profitability. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. * Must be at least 18 years of age or older. * Must have a great attitude. * Excellent customer service skills. * Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance. * Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and working nights, weekends, and holidays. * Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. * Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours including night and weekend shifts. * Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations & work multiple roles. * Must be ServSafe certified.
