Barbaricum is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning (AI / ML) Tech Lead to support the Department of Defense's Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO) in accelerating AI / ML adoption across the enterprise. This role oversees AI / ML algorithms, pilot project support, and Generative AI (GenAI) R&D, ensuring strategic alignment and innovation. The Tech Lead will provide technical consultancy, prototype development, risk management, and business value demonstrations to key stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Deploy and maintain AI / ML cloud infrastructure (AWS, and potentially Azure, MilCloud 2.0).
- Configure and optimize AI model training, inference, and large-scale data processing.
- Identify and remediate cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
- Automate cloud deployment, monitoring, and scaling using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI / CD.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance for AI / ML workloads in cloud environments.
