We're hiring!

We have an immediate need for a full-time Forklift Operator. This position's regularly scheduled shift is first shift; typically, Monday through Thursday, 6 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM.

Your purpose is to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time to fulfill our customer orders. This is achieved by operating the forklift and other equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are critical to achieving our high standards of complete, correct and on-time delivery of our product to our customers.

A few of the specific responsibilities include :

  • Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use handheld scanner to pull orders and inspect product against predetermined quality standards.
  • Understand and comply with safe working procedures including, but not limited to, wearing correct PPE, knowing emergency evacuation procedures, and utilizing safe lifting techniques.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions in the warehouse.

    • Requirements

    Education and Experience Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Demonstrated success operating a forklift, as typically acquired by 2 years of experience.

    • Functional Skills :

  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA practices
  • Mathematical skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Able to operate light and heavy equipment including use of forklift
  • Able to input and comprehend order data and troubleshoot discrepancies

    • Work Environment

  • The job requires exposure to a manufacturing facility requiring a heightened awareness of safety. There will be exposure to heat, irritant chemicals, operating machinery and noise.

    • Physical / Mental Requirements :

  • Communicates orally and electronically with co-workers, clients and vendors in face-to-face, one-on-one, e-mail, telephone or group settings.
  • The employee regularly must be able to complete the following activities in the course of his / her job : working from heights, lifting, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, feeling, grasping, talking, hearing within normal ranges, and repetitive motion.
  • The position requires Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and or a 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
