What are the responsibilities and job description for the MIG Welding Specialist position at Barbco, Inc?
We are a heavy equipment manufacturer in East Canton, Ohio seeking skilled individuals for MIG fitting and welding our machinery. Candidates are required to work 40 hours Monday through Thursday on 2nd shift and overtime when needed. Candidates need not be certified in welding. Must execute the process of fitting correctly and efficiently.
Additional responsibilities:
*Read blue prints with weld symbols.
*Layout, Position and secure parts and/or assemblies according to specifications
*Weld in all positions.
*Must create a weld with integrity.
*Must create a weld that is astatically pleasing.
*Understands the effect of weld heat on steel and how to counter the effect.
*Cut/trim using oxygen & acetylene torch or plasma cutter.
*Hand grind, scrape, and polish for paint preparation.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
· Can read and write.
· Has reliable transportation.
· Can work 40 to 55 hours weekly.
· Can lift 75 lbs.
