Job Summary:
The Roofing Sheet Metal Installer is responsible for the precise fabrication and installation of sheet metal components for roofing systems. This role demands a high level of skill in working with various metals, understanding roofing systems, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install various types of sheet metal roofing components, including flashing, gutters, downspouts, coping, and edge metal.
- Fabricate sheet metal components using hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, and soldering equipment.
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of sheet metal installations.
- Inspect and repair existing sheet metal
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other roofing professionals and contractors to ensure project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment.
- Clean job sites upon completion of work.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Roofing Sheet Metal Installer.
- Proficiency in fabricating and installing various sheet metal roofing components.
- Strong knowledge of different types of sheet metal and their properties.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools associated with sheet metal work.
- Excellent measuring and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in sheet metal work.
- Experience with specific roofing systems or materials.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
