Barber Drywall Inc is a Drywall and Metal framing construction company. We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are financially feasible.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Provide detailed breakdowns of project costs for client review
- Assist in project management activities related to budgeting and pricing
-Develop and maintain a professional, positive relationship with multiple General Contractors, material suppliers, product representatives, and customers.
- Prepare accurate takeoffs utilizing estimating software.
-Price labor, material, and equipment using historic data, past experience, and supplier pricing to compile competitive bids and negotiated work proposals.
-Analyze completed projects and continually update production databases to ensure competitive and profitable bidding.
-Remain current on local market conditions.
-Produce concise proposals and bid forms.
-Follow up on submitted bids.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating and contract negotiation
- Proficiency in Construction Management and Project Management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations
- Ability to build accurate estimates based on project scope
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders effectively
- Familiarity with pricing strategies and cost analysis techniques
