- Position Summary :
The Electrical Technician is involved in mechanical assembly, electrical rework, board level testing, system level testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of power, digital, and analog circuits across product platforms. Primarily the product platforms consist of motor controllers in the 100W to 50kW range within Space, Defense, Energy and Thermal Management product space. They support the development of solutions that ensure both project and long-term business success in coordination with other members of the electrical engineering department. Projects may include clean sheet designs, modifications / enhancements to existing designs, repeat manufacturing support, and / or sustaining and support of existing products.
Key ResultsAreas :
1. Supports the testing and integration of analog & digital electronics coupled to motors / generators and sensors / actuators within project constraints.
Support and conduct testing (design, assembly, and production), prepare results, and derive conclusions as appropriate.
2. Design and fabricate assembly and test fixturing via SolidWorks and 3D printing.
3. Owns electrical lab organization and cleanliness.
4. Effectively interfacing with other team members.
Requirements Qualifications :
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience, and abilities required.
Education and Training
Experience :
Ten years of related experience developing and troubleshooting power electronics and / or associated peripheral circuits.
Possesses basic understanding electrical schematics
Experience with cable assembly
Experience with soldering and component rework
Experience with lab equipment such as Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Data Acquisition systems, and others
Basic understanding with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design such as Altium Designer and SolidWorks for mechanical design.

Compensation and Benefits :
The hourly range for this role is $37.00 - $45.00. This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and / or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
