Instructional Aide - High School

Job Description:

Assist classroom teachers in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.  Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.  Involves working with children who have special needs.

Salary Range (Based on 2024-2025 Compensation Plan):

Minimum:  $11.77/hour

Midpoint:   $13.32/hour

Salary commensurate with related experience

Duty Days:  187

Start Date:  January, 2025

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Have met formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning

Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (District will make application to TEA once candidate is selected)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to work with adolescent children

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of general office equipment

Salary : $12 - $13
