We are currently seeking qualified Security Officer for an Access Control and Dispatch position at a prestigious private University in OaklandThis combination position is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The team is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities and maintains control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. Officers will be cross-trained to work a schedule assigned to a specific post and / or Dispatch throughout the week. They will be monitoring all security, communications, and fire / life safety systems, and be the liaison between campus personnel, students, law enforcement, and BSG management These Officers will be a reliable and knowledgeable resource in various situations for school personnel, students, and the public, and will be utilized for receiving and providing information, ensuring notifications on campus safety, policies, and protocols.
This team must provide integrity always professional interactions that promote safety to, and confidence from, the people that encompass the property.

Must be at least 18 years old.Eligibility to work in the United States.High School Diploma or equivalent required.Possess a current California Guard Card License.A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.Reliable transportation is necessary.Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.Performs other related duties, as assigned.Physical Requirements :
