Barbier Security Group (BSG) is a rapidly growing Bay Area based security services company. Founded in 2007 Barbier Security Group has been tasked with providing custom protective security programs for individuals, government organizations and private companies.
BSG is seeking dedicated a Campus Residential Security Shift Supervisor for a prestigious private university in Oakland. The role of Security Shift Supervisor will oversee the program of providing residence access controls through high visibility, deterrence, patrols, safety escorts, building checks, and community engagement. Shift Supervisors and their teams are expected to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors, promoting a safe and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include acting as first to emergencies, monitoring security, communications, and fire / life safety systems, accurately documenting events, and enforcing campus residential rules The Supervisor's team is cross-trained to monitor all security, communications, and fire / life safety systems. The Supervisor is the liaison between campus personnel, students, law enforcement, and BSG management.
Shift Supervisors ensure all shifts are staffed 24 / 7. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and the capability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not required.
