Field Measurer

JOB SUMMARY: Incumbent serves as a Field Measurer performing duties by accurately measuring homes for building and installation of countertops.

• 
  On own initiative resolves problems with framing and measurement of plumbing.
• Strong Math Skills in configuring measurements to accurately install countertops.
• Maintains job site status reports, vehicle records, and tool allotment records.
• Works with job-site superintendents, Detailers, Sales Engineers, Customer Service Representatives, and demanding customers.

LEDGE REQUIRED OF THE POSITION:

1. Knowledge of the Construction environment.

2. Ability to work safely.

3. Ability to use tape measure to accurately measure home-sites.

4. Works independently.

5. Ability to recognize and resolve problems with framing and measurement of plumbing at home-site.

6. Ability to communicate orally with all types of customers (i.e., Job Site Superintendents, Detailers, Sales Engineers, Customer Service Representatives, and homeowners).

7. Ability to communicate verbally in English.

8. Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

9. Must possess valid California Driver’s License and provide a clean DMV printout.

10. English Speaking required of the position.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:

The supervisor defines the objectives and priorities, informs the incumbent of special priorities. The incumbent independently carries out regular and recurring assignments without assistance. However, the supervisor is available for advice on any deviations, problems, or unusual instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed inside or outside and is exposed to all types of weather conditions. Areas may be damp, noisy, dirty, dusty, hot, cold, or drafty.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Required standing for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries items that weigh up to 30 lbs.

SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS:

Employee is required to wear safety equipment appropriate for the job and work area assigned, as directed by the Supervisor.
