We’re looking for a dedicated Grocery Freight Clerk to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for stocking, pricing, arranging and performing general duties of a grocery freight clerk.

What We Need from our Grocery Freight Clerk:
- Relevant Professional Experience: You have at least six months of related experience.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, preparing, storing, price marking, arranging, and restocking products to ensure quality, accuracy and product rotation and protection.
- Understand and adhere to establish shrink policies; report concerns or violations of this policy promptly to direct supervisor.
- Handle damaged or return-to-stock products according to policy; give priority to refrigerated and/or perishable items.
- Utilize and maintain equipment as required by department; report any equipment problems immediately to direct supervisor.
- Unload and secure received product in appropriate storage areas using carts, dollies, and other equipment.
- Maintain store cleanliness standards which includes sweeping, mopping, removing cardboard and refuse as needed,
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of the company, specifically in relation to safety and the safe use of equipment and proper use of company property.
Capability Requirements:

- Must be 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Must possess exceptional customer service, listening, speaking, and social skills.
- Knowledge of basic math skills is preferred.
- The ability to read, write, understand, and speak English is required.
- Ability to communicate with fellow employees and guests.
- The ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Must possess a valid Food Handlers’ card.
- Frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and use hands and fingers to complete work related tasks.
- Regularly stand, reach, push, pull, and bag products.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- 6 months of experience in a grocery or retail environment
- Experience with stocking and rotating products
- Experience operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment (preferred)
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety procedures
