What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor position at Barcadia Bar & Grill?
Being a Floor Person commonly referred to as porter or bus person, is one of the most important positions here at Barcadia as they are responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the facility while in operation. Floor persons will report directly to a floor supervisor of Barcadia management if any questions arise.
Being a floor person at Barcadia, you will have day-to-day interaction with our Guests. Sharing your “people pleasing personality” with our Guests is what Barcadia is all about. In addition to buying great food, Guests are buying “great feelings”. A Barcadia guest is sure to visit us again when they have enjoyed a memorable experience. Below is a brief summary of your duties and responsibilities you will have as a Bar back for Barcadia. You may be responsible for other duties assigned by your manager.
• Follow sanitation guidelines
• Adhere to safety procedures
• Practice cost-cutting measures
• Pitch in and work as part of a team
• Practice key floor staff skills and responsibilities
• Report to work
• Perform opening procedures
• Perform ongoing duties
• Perform operating procedures
• Work in the kitchen, bar, and dish areas
• Handle Guest relations issues and inform a manager
• Train and guide other floor staff as requested by your manager.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by your manager
• Perform closing procedures
• Depart from work
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous bar and/or restaurant experience preferred
• High endurance level required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds, unassisted
• Stand for long periods.
• Bending, stretching, kneeling throughout shift.
• Exposure to basic cleaning chemicals.
