The Accounting Manager will ensure compliance with International Reporting Standards (IFRS) and coordinate with outside auditors for annual external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, tax, fixed assets, purchasing, and budget preparation.
- Ensure the reliability and integrity of financial accounting information in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate the implementation of owned processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide financial information to the Finance Director by researching and analyzing accounting data.
- Prepare assets, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Support annual audits by providing information and answers to auditors.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of International Reporting Standards and state and federal regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems Oracle, SAP or other and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Bilingual/Spanish is required as work is related to Canada but also with all Latin American countries.
