The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and general upkeep of multiple restaurant locations in CT. This role involves performing hands-on repairs, coordinating preventive maintenance services, managing facility projects, and working closely with restaurant and facilities leadership to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for staff and guests. This position will report to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, staining, tiling, and landscaping work.
- Diagnose and repair food service equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC issues that do not require specialized licensing.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve building and equipment maintenance issues, escalating to management or outsourcing when necessary.
- Conduct minor repairs on furniture, fixtures, and kitchen equipment.
- Remove and dispose of unwanted materials, equipment and misc. items in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment for the team.
- Preventive Maintenance & Inspections
- Conduct monthly inspections of assigned restaurants, addressing issues proactively.
- Schedule and oversee PM services for HVAC, hot side equipment, refrigeration, fire life safety, and hood cleaning.
- Regularly inspect lighting, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems to ensure compliance with regulations and operational efficiency.

- Project & Work Order Management
- Manage facility projects for multiple restaurants.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director, General Managers, and Facilities teams to develop weekly and daily maintenance task lists.
- Use the Resq platform to manage work orders, update statuses, document repairs with notes and before/after photos, and issue new requests as needed.
- Oversee grounds maintenance, including parking lots, signage, irrigation, grease traps, and waste areas.
- Fire Life Safety & Compliance
- Ensure fire extinguishers, hood systems, and emergency exit lights are tested and compliant.
- Check fire alarm panels and electrical/mechanical rooms for safety hazards and clear obstructions.
- Address trip hazards and ensure all back door alarms and security features function properly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Hands-on experience with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and cooking equipment repairs.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with tools, appliances, and maintenance equipment.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred but not required.
