Barclays Services Corp. seeks VP, Application Development Lead in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
- Design, architect, develop and enhance complex cloud-based applications running on the distributed stack.
- Lead and deliver strategic Java based micro services hosted on the internal Barclays cloud platform, consisting of complex API and cloud framework design principles.
- Identify areas of improvement and weakness in the application design and implement solution-based products.
- Design, automate and improve processes through use of Business Process Modelling (BPM) and use of Camunda process automation.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple core Post Trade business functions, including the SWIFT & CREST interfaces.
- Managed and execute technical analysis System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and overall support for critical projects.
- Design, code, and create and run unit test cases and will facilitate UAT when applicable.
- Document all requirements analysis, design test cases, and document results in the change request “Lifecycle” document.
- Support and resolve level 3 issues as needed. Train colleagues on the Fixed Income Security Settlement (FISS) system, providing guidance to IT colleagues and end FI Operations users.
- Define, negotiate, and deliver key engineering solutions involving strategic components and legacy architecture.
- Manage the workload of onshore and offshore team members to ensure business requirements and timelines are met. Will have the following direct reports: 2 VP Computer Programmers, 5 AVP Computer Programmers and 1 Business Analyst.
